What did you think of Napoleon’s Buttons? Personally I really liked some of the essays–great anecdotes in there. This is a good book for a teacher to stock her head with all kinds of great “gee whiz” stuff. I wish more books like this were written at a middle school level, so the students themselves could read and enjoy it. I once adapted the chapter on “Salt” for my 8th graders; they found it fascinating.
