Alfred Russel Wallace References

Many references were consulted in preparing this study. It was interesting to read closely for small and seemingly trivial differences in writings, especially older library volumeswhose scholarly appearance gives them more credibility than a recent, anonymously published website.

When considering the validity of information, it was easy to disregard a source entirely when one bit of information was found to conflict with Wallace's own words. Letters from the boot by James Marchant and the website of Charles Smith were used as primary documents whenever possible.
